Keeper-Hugo Lloris

The quality of the Tottenham defense has greatly decreased the club’s need to rely on heroics from keeper Hugo Lloris. Fans should be careful not to forget just how special the French keeper really is.

He’s still infinitely capable of stonewalling an opposing offense with his shot-stopping skills. Fans need only look back at Tottenham’s shutout of Manchester City to see the types of saves Lloris can make with ease.

He’s also the Tottenham captain for a reason. His steady play even in the midst of chaos all around him can be a real inspiration for his teammates. Danny Rose might be the Spurs heartbeat, but Lloris is definitely the central nervous system of the club.

Hugo Lloris may not be as important to Tottenham’s success as he used to be, but he still may be the key to their Champions League hopes. Spurs fans wouldn’t trade him for any other keeper in the world. He’s an easy choice for the Tottenham starting XI.
