Right Back-Kyle Walker

If you haven’t been paying attention, let me provide you an update. Kyle Walker has quite possibly been Tottenham’s most consistent player on the young season.

The England International has started every Premier League match for Spurs on the season and has turned in a string of above average performances. His progression under Pochettino’s tutelage has been quite remarkable.

Walker used to be 99% athlete and 1% football player, but the ratio is much closer to 50/50 these days. He still flashed world-class speed every time out, but he’s a much smarter defender than he used to be.

Now, he’s able to provide serious width to the Tottenham attack without sacrificing any of his defensive responsibilities. If he ever truly rounds out his game with skill in the final third, he’ll become the best right back on the planet.
