Moussa Dembele – £50 million

Dembele is a hugely influential member of the Tottenham midfield. The difference in the club’s results with and without him on the pitch prove that.

Don’t forget that the Belgian international is already 29 years of age though. This is the best football we’re ever going to see him play. His level of play could start to decline sharply in the near future. That’s what holds his potential value down to the somewhat modest fee of 50 million.

Victor Wanyama – £35 million

The Kenyan destroyer arrived at Tottenham for just £11 million, but his play has significant outperformed that paltry fee. He’s far too important to the club’s future in the defensive midfield to sell for anything other than a massive profit.

His value still remains below Dembele’s because he doesn’t have the polish going forward that his Belgian teammate possesses. If he did, he’d be one of the best midfielders in the world. Until then, he just draws his value from his outstanding ability to break up the opposition’s attack.
