The Attacking Midfield
The attacking midfield also represents some interesting choices. Spurs figure to enjoy loads of possession against West Brom, so it’s a great opportunity for the attacking midfield that Pochettino selects to show their talents.

Of course, the real question is how many attacking midfielders Pochettino elects to deploy. My bet is that Tottenham will once again go with a 4-1-4-1 formation. That means four attacking players will find themselves in the starting XI.
I’d count on Dele Alli and Christian Eriksen to start in the centre of the midfield. Both were involved in duty for their respective nations’ but should be fit enough to start the match against West Brom. If Spurs do elect to go with a 4-2-3-1, one of these central midfielders will be sacrificed.
By starting two central midfielders, it gives Pochettino a wide license to choose the wide men he prefers. The match gives him a great opportunity to give Georges-Kevin N’Koudou his first start in a Spurs shirt. Look for the manager to start a pair of Frenchmen on the wing actually.
N’Koudou and Moussa Sissoko should both get starting nods on Saturday. If you’re wondering why Erik Lamela will miss the match, I’m betting he starts the day on the bench due to his late return from Argentina duty.
