Tottenham dropped two points at The Hawthorns

I can’t expect that Tottenham manager Mauricio Pochettino is very happy with his squad today. Spurs dominated the ball at times, but failed to produce enough clinical finishes to get past a pesky West Brom team.

In the end, Dele Alli’s clever finish earned the club a point, but it didn’t change the fact that Spurs dropped points on the day. If Tottenham expect to factor heavily into the Premier League title race, they can’t afford many slip ups like this.

Adding injury to insult was the unfortunate injury to Toby Alderweireld. He missed the match’s last 30 minutes after suffering a leg injury. It’s tough to speculate on the knock’s severity, but it didn’t look good.

Even without the talented centre back, Tottenham should have done better in the second half. They were sloppy defensively in the second stanza and it cost them dearly when Nacer Chadli found the back of the net. Don’t expect to see many high marks for Spurs defenders.

Without further delay, read on to discover which Tottenham stars were most at fault for the weak draw against West Brom.
