Vincent Janssen-7

Critical Tottenham fans will criticize the Dutch striker for failing to find the back of the net. I’m as anxious to see him score as anyone, but he did a solid job creating opportunities for his teammates.

It looked as if the route to goal was destined to go through Janssen. He did an excellent job of holding up play and laying the ball off for his attacking teammates. Unfortunately, none of his mates managed to cash in any of the chances. It was a decent, but unspectacular effort by Janssen.

Christian Eriksen-6.5

The Danish attacker had a reasonably bright first half, but faded sharply in the second. Given the club’s possession advantage, I expected more contribution from Eriksen.

Instead, he shrunk away from the physicality of the match. He had a few decent chances at goal, but only his free kick in the closing moments really troubled Ben Foster. A player with this kind of talent should produce more against an opponent like West Brom.
