Ben Davies-7.5

Regular readers know that I’m not a huge fan of the Welsh left back, but this was one of his best performances in a Spurs shirt. He was adequate when needed in defense and really did a better job getting forward than he normally does.

In fact, it was his blast in the first half produced Foster’s best save of the afternoon. He was pretty unlucky not to find the back of the net. If he can continue to play with this sort of energy, he has a chance to remain with the club.

Kyle Walker-6

If a player’s contribution were defined by waving his hands for a pass to be knocked his way, then Kyle Walker would have been world-class today. Unfortunately, he provided Tottenham virtually nothing on the offensive end of the pitch.

The only saving grace for his performance on the day were a few key challenges he made defensively. One might argue the need to make the challenges was at least partly due to Walker’s lack of solid positioning. It was a below-average performance for England’s right back.
