Dele Alli-7

The English starlet had some flashy moments on the day, but he couldn’t help his team find the back of the net. When you see as much of the ball as Alli does, that’s always going to equal a pretty average rating.

On the other hand, I don’t think he got a ton of help yesterday. He was his usual energetic self, probing the pitch for open spaces. The rest of his attacking teammates weren’t making themselves available in dangerous areas. Alli gave an average performance, but his rating was somewhat weighed down by the failures of his attacking brethren.

Christian Eriksen-6

The Danish attacker failed to impact the match in any real, meaningful way. That simply isn’t acceptable for a player with his talent. He should be providing scoring punch for Spurs and at the moment, he simply isn’t.

It’s as if Eriksen gets lost in the middle of the pitch at times. When Dele Alli has the ball, it seems that Eriksen can’t figure out where to go. The two men are going to have to improve their on field relationship if each man is going to keep his place in Mauricio Pochettino’s starting XI.
