Tottenham player ratings: Odd draw against Leverkusen
Moussa Sissoko-7
The French international only managed a little over 20 minutes of match time, but I thought it was one of his best stretches as a Tottenham player. If he continues in this sort of form, he may be able to force his way back into Pochettino’s starting XI.

The real measure of Sissoko’s effectiveness seems to be his energy level. When he’s lively and engaged, he can be a wonderfully industrious player. Unfortunately, he doesn’t always appear to be switched on.
Coming off the bench against Leverkusen he seemed to be at full attention. He chased the ball with real vigor and made several runs into dangerous areas. Unfortunately, the latter were routinely ignored by his teammates. Perhaps they didn’t expect him to show such spark. He’ll need to find it consistently if he wants to hold down a place under Pochettino.
Josh Onomah- Inc.
Any rating I might provide for the English youngster would be unfair. He wasn’t on the pitch long enough to justify any sort of numerical rating.
The good thing is that Onomah didn’t seem at all fazed by the occasion. He continues to play more and more prestigious matches and doesn’t look at all out-of-place. That bodes very well for his future with Tottenham.
