Inter Milan: Three hopes, one fear
By Sean Maslin
The big fear: That they do not have the depth to crack the top four.
Inter Milan management, to their credit, have done quite a bit in the past few years to change the squad and rebuild. With players like Mario, Icardi, Perisic, Gabriel, and Eder the club has shown that they are interested in getting the squad younger and creating a core of players to build around. There are plenty of things that Inter supporters can look at and get excited about.

But the problem with Inter is that the club still lacks enough young players to make a serious run at a title. Chalk it up to whatever issue that is going on with the club but they just do not have the depth or the number of quality players to crack a very difficult top four in Serie A.
Now the good news is that the club will have plenty of opportunities to give academy players chances with both league, Coppa Italia, and Europa League action. If there is ever a time for Inter to throw caution to the wind and give untested players a chance it is in a season where the club is highly unlikely to get relegated and playing under a Dutch coach.
They aren’t going to win the Serie A title this season but this could be the start of a new golden era of Internazionale if they play their cards right.
