Tottenham player ratings: Decent point at Bournemouth
Son Heung-Min-5
It was a pretty poor effort by the Korean on the afternoon. He followed up his weak performance against Bayer Leverkusen with an even weaker effort against the Cherries. Son was invisible for long stretches and was mercifully subbed off after an hour on the pitch.
Tottenham fans have to wonder whether or not Son’s hot form was a little bit of fool’s gold. Today was the first time where I really thought the club missed Harry Kane’s presence on the pitch. Fortunately, the English talisman should be back soon.
Vincent Janssen-5.5
Son’s replacement didn’t exactly light the world afire either. Janssen came in and worked hard for half an hour, but didn’t really produce any real quality.
The Dutchman’s goal drought has to concern Spurs fans at this point. He arrived after a prolific Eredivisie season, but it was really his first year of stardom. Is it possible that he was just a one-season wonder? I’m not giving up on Janssen yet, but it’s clear he has a long way to go to become a Premier League regular.
