Tottenham will play plenty of youth against Liverpool

In many ways, Tottenham’s upcoming Fourth Round EFL Cup tie against Liverpool is a serious annoyance for Mauricio Pochettino. In the midst of worrying about Premier League and Champions League football, you’ll have to forgive the Spurs boss for failing to prioritize the lesser competition.

Frankly, I don’t expect many of Tottenham’s senior players to even bother making the trip to Anfield. There’s just not enough upside for Spurs to play their best starting XI against Jurgen Klopp’s side. It could lead to a pretty uneven fixture depending on who Liverpool elect to deploy.

The upside to the match is that Tottenham fans should get a chance to see plenty of the club’s future stars get a chance to shine. I don’t believe Pochettino will go fully with a U23 level squad, but you’re going to see plenty of Academy products. Read on to discover the young 11 players Pochettino is likely to deploy at Liverpool.
