5 reasons why Manchester United can still win the Premier League title
By Tushar Bahl
Halloween might still be a few days away, but Manchester United fans had their horror night on Sunday, when they were humiliated by Chelsea at Stamford Bridge. The heavy loss which followed a run of one win since August in the Premier League has the fans worrying that Jose Mourinho has lost his aura.
But Manchester United fans should stick by their manager. He is the closest they can have to Sir Alex Ferguson. The Portuguese manager has won titles everywhere he has been. And while it may not seem like it right now, Manchester United will still play a huge part in this season’s title race. They have an arguably easier set of fixtures coming up. And if Mourinho can get them back in full flow, it won’t be long before United close that 6-point gap that currently separates them from the top.
United have suffered from heavy defeats to their title rivals before too. They nearly won the title despite losing 6-1 to Manchester City in the 2011-12 season. While they won the title in the 2008/09 season, despite losing 4-1 to Liverpool that year. So United fans should not get disheartened just yet.
Things can change very quickly in the Premier League title race, as we have seen over the years. And United, with plenty of experience and know-how in their camp, will still fancy their chances of celebrating come May.
