Carlo Ancelotti can get the best out of Arturo Vidal

Last season, it looked as though at one point Arturo Vidal may be shipped out after reports in Germany suggested that he had turned up to training smelling of booze, which later turned out to be untrue.

Not finding his form that persuaded Bayern Munich to splash the cash to land him from Juventus, Vidal needed to change something to regain his confidence.

Step in Ancelotti. The Chile international scored the opening goal for the Italian in his Bayern career, which resulted in a 2-0 win over Borussia Dortmund in the Supercup.

His tacking, defensive contribution and energetic displays finally shone again under Ancelotti whilst it finally looks as though he’s back to his before best.
