Borussia Dortmund not up to scratch

Thomas Tuchel may have been linked with a move to Real Madrid in the past week, but with an under-performing Borussia Dortmund side, it looks as though Bayern Munich’s early title contenders could be RB Leipzig or Hertha BSC.

Granted, Tuchel has seen the likes of Marco Reus, Neven Subotic, Andre Schurrle, Sven Bender and Marcel Schmelzer all miss a number of games through injury, with these first teamers currently out of action – meaning there’s been starts for the likes of Christian Pulisic, Emre Mor and Ousmane Dembele.

Their 3-3 draw against Ingolstadt means that Tuchel finds his Dortmund side already six points behind Bayern after eight fixtures.
