Finally, they have Thomas Müller

He may not often be named in the same bracket as your Lionel Messi’s and Cristiano Ronaldo’s, but Germany international Thomas Müller certainly deserves to be.

  • Underrated by many, Müller isn’t renowned for his spectacular goals, but instead his capability of being in the correct place at the right time, more often than not he will be on the scoresheet.

A move to Manchester United was almost on the cards in 2015, but the forward – if you can call him that – recently signed a new contract that will see him at Bayern Munich until 2021.

Is he a centre-forward, winger or attacking midfielder? Müller has the skill and experience to fit in where he is needed. He may not be the fastest, but his heading and finishing ability is second-to-none.

The 27-year-old has hit double figures in every season apart from 2011/12, but whilst he is yet to find the net in the Bundesliga under Ancelotti, it’s only going to be a matter of time. 91 goals and 85 assists in 235 Bundesliga fixtures is certainly something that is adored by the Bayern faithful.
