Hope #3: That Brad Evans can hold back Dom Dwyer.

In two matches this season Dwyer has torn apart the Sounders defense. He set Sporting Kansas City’s lone goal in their match at CenturyLink Field this season and scored twice in their second match, a 3-0 loss.

So how does Seattle stop them? Brad Evans. Out of all the Seattle defenders he has had the most luck throughout the years at tracking Dwyer and either making a good professional tackle or creating space between him in the ball. He did a pretty good job against him early this season in the 1-0 result and was really not to blame for the goal.

No matter who Seattle elects to stop Dwyer he has to be priority number one on Thursday night. With Sporting really being a one man show on the attack stopping him may mean three points and a place in the next round.
