Wing Backs

The entire Spurs back four will feel immense pressure in this match. In particular, both fullbacks need to be vigilant to make sure they aren’t caught out of position by the Leicester counter attack. Fortunately, Pochettino will have his two first choice wing backs available to him this weekend.

Both Kyle Walker and Danny Rose got some rest this week. Each starter was left out of Tottenham’s EFL Cup match against Liverpool. That wasn’t an accident. Pochettino was clearly resting both in anticipation of the Leicester match.

Walker and Rose might just be the fastest fullback pairing in the Premier League. They’re going to need every ounce of that pace on Saturday. Inevitably, they’re going to get caught out of position once or twice. The key will be making sure they use their quickness to limit the amount of time the Foxes have to try to take advantage.

Both fullbacks are likely going to be very tired after the match on Saturday. They’ll run for the full 90 minutes up and down the pitch. Hopefully it will all be worth it and Spurs will emerge with three valuable points.
