Hope #3: That Sean Davis can have a breakout moment.

The Baby Bulls are breaking through. Those who had a chance to watch the USL Cup last week saw what many have been writing about this season: that the New York Red Bulls Academy is pulling together an exceptional generation of players. Brandon Allen, Derrick Etienne, Tyler Adams, Alex Muyl, and Sean Davis have all come through the Red Bulls Academy and are slowly starting to permeate the eighteen man roster of the senior team. Something is clearly working at Harrison. The question is now which player will be the one to have a breakout moment in the playoffs.

Of all of the players that could be a difference-maker this playoffs Sean Davis perhaps has the greatest chance. The 22-year-old midfielder has made tremendous strides this season adjusting to becoming a part-time starter (21 appearances, 11 starts). Although he is not exactly a prodigious goal-scorer he has created his own fair share of attacking chances for his side. His patience and ability to pick out teammates down the pitch will make him an asset against an Impact side that is susceptible on the counter-attack.

The Red Bulls are teeming with young, exciting prospects and it is just a matter of who and when will have the chance to shine. Sean Davis will have the first chance against the Impact on Sunday.
