Mauricio Pochettino should stick with Tottenham

Tottenham fans who were disappointed with the club’s 1-1 draw to Leicester City woke up to even more troubling news today. Spurs boss Mauricio Pochettino is now being heavily rumored to take over for Zinedine Zidane at Real Madrid.

The Mirror has the story that Real’s failure to capture a La Liga crown since 2012 as higher-ups at the club anxious to make a managerial change. Presumably, they’re interested in Pochettino due to the attractive brand of football he employs at White Hart Lane.

It’s not an exaggeration to say this would be the worst possible scenario for Spurs. Just as the club have finally gotten the manager of their dreams, losing him to Madrid would be a crushing blow.

Fortunately, I believe there are quite a few reasons why Pochettino might actually snub the La Liga giants to remain with Spurs. The two clubs are in very different places than they were when the likes of Luka Modric and Gareth Bale made the decision to head to Spain.
