Danny Rose-7

The English left back continued his excellent season with another influential match yesterday. I was particularly impressed that he wasn’t caught out by the Leicester attack on even one occasion.

The only criticism I might level against Rose was his inability to really contribute to the Spurs attack. He got himself into several very dangerous positions, but wasn’t able to really contribute to a goal. That might be a little too critical, but Rose could have done better given the time and space he had on the ball.

Kyle Walker-7.5

Quietly and without notice, Kyle Walker has emerged as one of Tottenham’s most consistent players. He played another really solid match against Leicester yesterday.

Somewhat amazingly, he kept Riyad Mahrez in his pocket for most of the match. It’s hard to remember more than one time the Algerian star was able to trouble the Spurs defense. Walker deserves a lion’s share of the credit for keeping him off the score sheet.
