Victor Wanyama-6

I feel pretty terrible criticizing Wanyama at all. He’s been so steady for the team all season that it seems unfair to bury him for one big mistake. However, his poor handling of the ball did directly lead to Leicester’s only goal of the match.

It seemed like a brain cramp of sorts for the physical midfielder. I suppose he’s allowed a mental error after the amount of good football he’s played for Spurs this season. Unfortunately, his teammates weren’t able to make up for Wanyama’s costly mistake.

Moussa Dembele-6.5

The Belgian midfielder’s effort yesterday really disappointed me. He did an adequate job of shielding the back four, but he contributed almost nothing to the Tottenham attack.

That’s simply not good enough for a player of his considerable talent. Part of his skill set is the ability to glide forward with the ball. He didn’t do enough of that to help his club defeat Leicester yesterday.
