Dele Alli-7.5

I must confess I was very irritated when Alli was taken off the pitch in the 83rd minute. He looked dangerous for long stretches of the match and I really believe he was the Spur with the best chance to score.

He certainly gave his teammates several quality opportunities. Alli earned the club several free kicks in very dangerous positions that Christian Eriksen was unable to convert. We also can’t forget his thundering volley that rattled the post in the opening half. Alli wasn’t perfect, but he did enough to earn Tottenham three points. Sadly, he didn’t get much help.

Christian Eriksen-6.5

Very frankly, I wasn’t please at all with Eriksen’s effort against the Foxes. He refused to commit to any 50/50 challenges on the match and I just find that unacceptable. Eriksen was very fortunate to survive for 90 minutes on the pitch.

I also expect players of the Dane’s caliber to avoid hitting the first man on multiple corner kicks. Eriksen is justifiably known as a deal ball specialist, but wasted several corners on the afternoon. Additionally, he failed to hurt the Foxes via free kicks from dangerous areas. It was a very forgettable afternoon for the talented, but inconsistent midfielder.

Son Heung-Min-6

The Korean attacker’s hot streak seems like it occurred several seasons ago at this point. He put in yet another empty performance in this match.

The trouble with Son is that when he isn’t contributing goals and/or assists, he isn’t giving his side very much. He gives Pochettino almost nothing from a defensive perspective. Son should rediscover his goal scoring touch soon if he wants to stay in the starting XI.
