3. Son Heung-Min vs. Benjamin Henrichs

It’s no secret that Mauricio Pochettino needs more out of Son if Tottenham are going to win this match. The Korean star was excellent in relief of Harry Kane immediately after the star went out of the Spurs lineup, but he’s been pretty poor as of late.

The match at Leverkusen may have been Son’s weakest outing of the year. While I believe a lot of that was due to the mental challenge of playing his former club, some of the credit/blame should go to Leverkusen right back Benjamin Henrichs.

The 19-year-old German starlet has been one of Leverkusen’s best players on the young season. His physical style of defending really helps provide steel to the club’s defense. HIs only real weakness is an occasional lapse in concentration.

Such a lapse should be just the opening that Son looks for on the evening. He doesn’t need to create a multitude of scoring chances, he just needs to create a couple that end up in Spurs’ goals.
