2. Danny Rose’s will

I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again, Danny Rose is the heartbeat of Tottenham. There’s no other Spur who can galvanize the club with his intense effort like the English left back.

I’m not quite advocating Rose take over for Hugo Lloris as the club’s captain, but I have to admit I wouldn’t be too upset at that change. While Lloris leads by quiet example, Rose leads with his raw emotion out on the pitch.

On occasion, his emotions can get the best of him, but he’s greatly reduced the frequency of those incidents lately. Pochettino’s arrival has coincided with a significant uptick in Rose’s form and consistency. His manager has made him the best left back in England.

Rose will face a mighty challenge on Sunday. The likes of Alexis Sanchez, Mesut Ozil and Theo Walcott will put him under constant pressure. I feel like he’s up to it. I’m backing Rose for an exemplary Man of the Match performance against the Gunners.
