Tottenham v Arsenal: Who has the edge at each position? Position by position breakdown of the NLD
Alexis Sanchez v Vincent Janssen
Arsenal have finally found their striker solution and they didn’t need to purchase an expensive centre forward this summer to do so. Alexis Sanchez was right there under their noses the entire time.
The Chilean star has been in terrific form this year. He’s already managed six goals and three assists in just 10 Premier League appearances. You can bet that he’ll be one of the first threats Tottenham’s defense tries to address.
Barring a surprise return from Harry Kane, expect Pochettino to opt for Vincent Janssen to start the match. He certainly hasn’t enjoyed the success he would have hoped in relief of Kane. Janssen is still searching for his first goal from open play.
This matchup just isn’t all that close. Alexis is a proven Premier League star while Janssen hasn’t yet shown he can score a goal from open play. Arsenal are licking their chops at the prospect at Alexis’ chances against the Spurs back line.
