Petr Cech, Arsenal

It’s funny to imagine a keeper as accomplished as Cech coming off the bench, but going up against Lloris, that’s the reality of it. Remember, last time Cech was a regular sub, things worked out. Playing behind Thibaut Courtois, he was on Chelsea’s title-winning team in 2014-15.

Shkodran Mustafi, Arsenal

We’ve talked about the nice partnership Mustafi has formed with Koscielny. It’s the best CB tandem that Arsenal has had in some time. He’s been averaging five clearances and just under three tackles and three interceptions per game.

Eric Dier, Tottenham

Another good young English player for Tottenham, Dier is in his third year of being a regular at White Hart Lane. With the ability to function at any defensive position as well as play in the holding midfield, Dier’s versatility off the bench is huge.

Granit Xhaka, Arsenal

Xhaka is eligible to play in Sunday’s match following a three-game ban that he earned for his straight red card against Swansea. He’s been inconsistent so far at Arsenal, mixing in some great goals with some very rash challenges.

More from Arsenal FC

Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain, Arsenal

A hard-working, but flawed player on the wing, Oxlade-Chamberlain has two goals and two assists in all competitions for Arsenal, despite the fact that much of his action comes in limited time in the second halves of games.

Olivier Giroud, Arsenal

It’s been documented by yours truly that Giroud would be a great super-sub, so it’d be strange not to have on our bench. Giroud has three goals in his last two games following his game-tying header against Ludogarets.

Harry Kane, Tottenham

By far the most interesting selection on our bench, it’s been widely reported today that Kane will be in Tottenham’s squad for Sunday. Sure, he hasn’t played for seven weeks since suffering an ankle injury, but after netting 25 goals last season, Kane belongs in the squad if he’s fit to play.
