Today was a good draw for Tottenham

Tottenham may not have gotten all three points at the Emirates today, but there were a lot of valuable lessons learned for Mauricio Pochettino’s squad. You can bet that Spurs won’t be too disappointed to have earned a precious point against their arch rivals.

Sure, you can make the argument that Arsenal were offside for their goal, but cumulatively they did enough to deserve a goal on the day. If it hadn’t come off of Wimmer’s head, it likely would have found the back of the net from a Gunners’ boot.

Some pessimistic Tottenham fans might argue that Spurs were lucky to score a goal since it was on a penalty. I dismiss that notion emphatically as well. Moussa Dembele made an excellent driving run into the box and was clearly fouled. Again, the cumulative effect of our attacks on the Arsenal defense deserved at least one goal.

Aside from that, there were quite a few interesting lessons Tottenham learned about themselves from the match. Read on discover the five most prominent things Pochettino’s squad learned today.
