4. Everton

It’s hard to imagine a manager better suited to whip Memphis into shape than Everton gaffer Ronald Koeman. He would give Memphis a unique opportunity to reclaim his once promising career.

Koeman would force the United attacker to work hard on all aspects of his game. He certainly wouldn’t tolerate any of the nonsense that’s plagued Memphis at United. You can bet the stories of Memphis’ extravagant lifestyle would greatly diminish while playing on Merseyside.

On the pitch, he’d give the Toffees another choice out wide. Koeman already has Yannick Bolasie, Kevin Mirallas and Gerard Deulofeu, but he does like to use a multitude of wide players. Memphis could add to Koeman’s options without being expected to produce too much too soon.

Purchasing Memphis would be a risky proposition for a club like Everton. He’d cost a significant fee and would almost certainly blow up their wage structure. It’s the kind of deal that could allow the Toffees to punch above their weight though. It would be a daring move designed to take advantage of their current momentum.
