3. Watford

Despite being annihilated by Liverpool this weekend, the Hornets still remain in eighth place in the Premier League. I suspect that fact surprised quite a few of you who haven’t been watching Watford closely.

Their success, however, is largely predicated on what they’re able to do in the middle of the pitch. In particular, Etienne Capoue has been one of the Premier League’s best midfielders. What the Hornets don’t have, is a lot of production from their wide players.

That’s a significant problem for a club that likes to play five midfielders at a time. They need production from their wingers. The combination of Nordin Amrabat and Jose Holebas has left a lot to be desired.

Their lack of production from outside and tactics would provide an excellent landing spot for Memphis. It’s possible he could slot right into their starting XI. He also would be provided pretty simple instructions due to their formation. Simplifying the game could be exactly what Memphis needs to improve his performance.
