2. Crystal Palace

Alan Pardew can be a bit of a punch line in Premier League circles, but he’s clearly not afraid to take on Premier League castoffs. The success the Eagles have enjoyed with Liverpool castaway Christian Benteke might tempt them to try it again with Memphis Depay.

Palace also have a gaping hole on one wing due to the departure of Yannick Bolasie. He’s scoring goals aplenty at Everton, but that doesn’t do anything to help his former club. They could certainly use someone to come in and replace some of what he provided their attack.

Memphis Depay isn’t the same style winger as Bolasie, but he can occupy his spot on the pitch. In many ways, Memphis is more similar to Wilfried Zaha who still mans one wing for the Eagles. Bringing the United man into the fold could balance Palace’s attack.

Palace haven’t been afraid to spend money to back Pardew so I think this is a realistic option in January. There might be protracted negotiations about the price, but it’s a deal that could make sense for everyone involved.
