Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho continues to work with his side as he still does not truly look like he knows the quality of all of his current first team.

With a side full of players that are not seeing first team action, Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho looks to have a problem of more players than he can effectively use and his wage bill is astronomical.

There is a thing as too much depth and United currently look like that are in that plight. Although injuries still have played a role at times, it just seems like Mourinho needs to thin the heard to start getting the best out of his first team.

Multiple players have shown to be injury prone again and again and there are many that also seem to lack the mettle to perform when the pressure is on at Old Trafford.

That sentiment was echoed this week when Sky Sports pundit and former Southampton legend Matt le Tissier has called out eight players from the Red Devils that he feels need to be moved on in order for Mourinho to start truly rebuilding the once mighty club:

"“I think Manchester United need to let Phil Jones go, he’s just too injury prone.Marcos Rojo just hasn’t got the quality that Manchester United are used to.Matteo Darmian is another one who has failed to live up to his price tag, so I’d probably let him go.”"

However, it was not just the defense that the former Saint took a shot at, he was the most critical of the midfielders and wide players that he feels should be moved on:

"“I don’t think Ashley Young has contributed enough. Marouane Fellaini doesn’t fit the bill.Morgan Schneiderlin was one of the Premier League’s best players in that role at Saints but it hasn’t worked out for him at United.I thought it was a strange one when they signed Bastian Schweinsteiger. They didn’t need someone like him with the injuries he has had, but that’s not to say he’s not a very good player.I don’t think Memphis Depay has delivered when he’s had the changes. Time for him to go.”"

There have been rumors that many of the afore-mentioned players are set to take their leave from the side sooner than later with multiple club especially being linked with Schneiderlin and Depay as they appear to still have the most stock left in them.

Perhaps David Moyes might be interested in signing Fellaini again as his Sunderland side are desperate for difference makers and perhaps the awkwardly gangly Belgian would make a splash in the Black Cats midfield.

Jones could most likely remain in the Premier League as well as he could earn regular first team appearances at clubs like Hull City, Bournemouth or perhaps West Brom.

Darmian also could expect a potential offer from England but he would likely be best suited to take a move to a top six club in Italy where he could make a difference with his skill set.

Rojo could go either way, but he is and never has been United material.

Ashley Young is another that would do well in a mid-table side while Schweinsteiger is most likely going to have to take a lucrative retirement in Major League Soccer or hang up his boots all together.

It is certain that this January is going to be an interesting transfer window for Mourinho whom still has a lot more work to do with this side than he is likely to have thought when he decided to try to follow in his old friend Sir Alex Ferguson’s foot steps.
