5 players Manchester United should consider signing in January

4. Fabinho
With Antonio Valencia out for a while, and Matteo Darmian deemed not good enough, Manchester United are desperately in need for a right-bank. They were linked with a deadline day move for Brazilian right-back Fabinho in the summer. But the AS Monaco player ended up staying following the team’s qualification to the Champions League group stages.
They could look to clinch the deal for him in January with a price of £22m being quoted. Fabinho is one of the first names on the team-sheet for Monaco, and he has become one of the stars of Ligue 1. He has already scored 5 goals in 11 games this season.
The 23-year-old is a solid defender and also loves getting forward down the right flank. He can also play as a central midfielder, which is where he has mostly been operating from this season.
Fabinho began his professional career with Real Madrid, and it was Jose Mourinho who gave him his debut in 2013. The duo could now be set to re-unite at Old Trafford in January. Fabinho shares the same agent as Mourinho in Jorge Mendes, which could further accelerate the Brazilian’s proposed move to Manchester United.
