5. Memphis Depay
The Dutch international has fallen massively out of favour at Old Trafford, with little to no hope of a revival in sight – At least in red, anyway. Under Mourinho, he has just started one game, which was in the League Cup against Northampton Town. The rest have been impactless cameo appearances, and even then he has only had 6 of those – just 4 of those being in the Premier League.

Depay is clearly a casualty of the amount of attacking talent that United have, and a struggle in his first season massively influenced the way Mourinho saw him as he came in. Being nothing more than a sporadic team member who simply had to be given another season due to the nature of his talent which United paid a hefty £25 million fee for when he was excelling with PSV not so long ago.
However, an abundance of talent down the flanks where central figures such as Juan Mata and Marcus Rashford have also played this season, it means that at times he has been unable to make the bench as well with a fully fit squad. Add to this next summer when Adnan Januzaj and Andreas Pereira will be back in the senior picture.
There is no happy ending for this tale, unfortunately. He needs back his confidence with game time – and he just cannot do that at Old Trafford.
