5. Harry Winks
I’ll admit, this one is a bit of a long shot. Harry Winks isn’t a regular member of Tottenham’s match day squad at the moment. Projecting him as a potential club captain certainly places a great deal of belief in his potential.

Winks’ inclusion on the list also assumes that Lloris finishes his career with Tottenham. It isn’t as if the Frenchman is going to give up the captain’s arm band before leaving the club. As long as he’s a regular starter for Tottenham, he’ll remain in charge on the pitch.
Lloris could easily stay at the club for another five years. If he does, you have to project a youthful player as the club’s next captain. Winks may be a little too young for the honor, but he is probably the best choice in his age group.
Tottenham would also prefer to have a home-grown, English captain if at all possible. Winks checks both of those boxes as well. It wouldn’t surprise me at all to see him don the captain’s armband one day.
