5. Marcelo Brozovic

The Inter Milan midfielder has been mentioned prominently with Spurs for several weeks. In particular, he was frozen out of the club’s lineup under Frank de Boer. Now that the former Ajax boss is out, he could return to the starting XI.

If he doesn’t, Tottenham would be wise to give him strong consideration. The only reason he isn’t higher on this list is that he really doesn’t fill a need for Spurs. Pochettino does have several quality options in the midfield.

Acquiring Brozovic would provide the Spurs boss with a lot more quality depth. That could be particularly important if the club are able to progress into the Champions League Knockout Stage. Having a player of Brozovic’s quality would make squad rotation much easier on Pochettino.

Tottenham should register interest in the talented midfielder, but shouldn’t overpay. He is only a smart purchase at the right price. Anything over £20 million and Levy should completely cut off negotiations.
