Five players Chelsea should sign in January
By Ryan Willox
5. Felipe Anderson
In contrast to a number of vaunted promising players that Chelsea currently have on loan, Anderson has already been performing consistently at the highest level.
The Brazilian currently plays in Italy with Lazio where he moved from Santos in 2013.
There are many potential upsides for Chelsea to acquiring the player. Anderson is fast, skilled and most importantly, versatile having occupied positions on both wings, behind the main striker and even up front.
Such a player would be of great value to Conte primarily as a wing back in his favored 3-5-2 formation particularly given his pace and energy.

Equally, it’s not difficult to imagine the benefits someone like Anderson would offer in terms of tactical adjustments in matches that are not going Chelsea’s way.
The ability to rotate Anderson in-game would undoubtedly appeal to Conte, who would also value Anderson in terms of back up should a Pedro, Eden Hazard or even Diego Costa go down – at least in the short-term.
Valued around 20M, Anderson has been courted by Inter Milan and Manchester United but it is believed Chelsea would be favorites if they come in with a bid.
