Everton Football Club formed in Liverpool in 1878. They are one of the twelve original teams to participate in the Football League’s first season back in 1888.

Prior to the start of the Premier League Everton won nine First Division crowns. The club’s last title was in 1986-1987.

The Toffees were particularly strong throughout the mid 80’s. During this period Everton won two division titles, one FA Cup, one League Cup, four Charity Shields and the European Cup Winners Cup in 1985.

Recent history hasn’t been as kind to Everton. The club’s last trophy came at the end of the 1994-1995 season when they won the FA Cup. Despite the team’s lack of trophies, they have been in the top flight since day one and have yet to feel the pain of relegation.
