Former France international Franck Ribery

To start with, a controversial one. With his contract running out at the end of the season, and no talk of a new one, Franck Ribery should be one to depart the club over.

After playing a bit-part role under Pep Guardiola, the former France international is finally finding his form in this Carlo Ancelotti setup.

However currently 33, Ribery is certainly not getting any younger, whilst Ancelotti may prefer to play Douglas Costa on a more regular basis – not to mention they may make Kinglsey Coman’s move permanent – who would be an ideal replacement.

Although a promising start to the 2016/17 campaign, Ribery has only played 347 minutes of Bundesliga football, which includes four starts, and two goals.

When the wide-man is gracing the pitch with his sublime abilities, he always comes up with the goods, registering five assists in the Bundesliga this season.

During his time in Munich, Ribery has featured for the Bavarian club an astounding 330 times, scoring 108 goals and assisting 163. Although when they paid £21 million for him, you would expect numbers like that.

Although the stats are there to suggest that he does still possess this fine quality that made Bayern Munich sign Ribery in 2007, he is well past his prime and it’s time to give someone else a go in the first team, be it Coman on a regular basis, or a new signing.
