Contract talks between Arsenal and Alexis Sanchez are ongoing. There are a number of good reasons the Chilean should remain in North London

Arsenal are currently negotiating a new deal to keep Alexis Sanchez at the club beyond his current contract. The forward has one year remaining and the Gunners want to keep him in North London.

Sanchez is in great form and is enjoying his new role as Arsenal’s central striker. He proved this week what a gamer he truly is. Concern was raised when it was revealed that Sanchez had suffered a potential hamstring injury while on international duty. Instead of remaining on the sidelines, he led Chile to a 3-1 victory over Uruguay in a World Cup qualifier. The forward scored two second half goals and came through the match unscathed.

This week rumors began to circulate that Sanchez’s contract situation is being monitored by Manchester City and Juventus. Should the player not sign a new Arsenal deal he would be free to leave the club in 2018.

Arsenal fans are holding their breath and hoping that Sanchez puts a pen to paper soon.
