Five clubs that should sign Daniel Sturridge in January
By Roy Emanuel
West Ham United
After such a brilliant 2015-16 Premier League season that featured a seventh-place finish and Europa League qualification, much was expected from West Ham United ahead of the current campaign. Unfortunately for manager Slaven Bilic, the Hammers greatest strength from a year ago has suddenly become one of its weaknesses.
West Ham have had an incredibly difficult time scoring goals with any regularity this season. 11 goals in as many matches has yielded 11 points for the Hammers.
Midfielders Michail Antonio (5) and Manuel Lanzini (2) lead the team in goals. None of Bilic’s forwards have found the back of the net so far this season. All of that can change with the addition of Daniel Sturridge.

With French star Dimitri Payet also struggling to find the scintillating form he displayed for club and country last season, Sturridge’s arrival at the Olympic Stadium could turn the campaign around.
The transfer fee and wages would certainly be an issue. But with the team currently sitting only one point from the relegation zone, it may be a gamble that is worth taking.
Only three Premier League victories in 11 matches is a figure that must change for West Ham United. Bringing Daniel Sturridge on in January could see the change that is needed for success.
