Projected Substitutes

As you might expect, the injury crisis really limits Pochettino’s options off the bench. The cupboard isn’t bare, but it certainly lacks Premier League experience.

More from Playing for 90

Vincent Janssen is likely to see action in this one. He’s still looking for his first Premier League goal from open play. It’s hard to imagine Kane being fit enough to play an energetic 90 minutes, which should leave the Dutchman a chance to get a few minutes towards the end of the match.

Harry Winks is really the only defensive midfield option who will be on the bench. Pochettino hasn’t hesitated to play him in big spots. Look for the young Englishman to get a taste of this rivalry on Saturday.

Lastly, Georges-Kevin N’Koudou will be the club’s best attacking option off the bench. Some might prefer Josh Onomah, but he hasn’t looked very dangerous this year. N’Koudou, on the other hand, has shown signs of real pace and creativity down the wing. He could grow into the game changing substitute Tottenham desperately need.
