Celtic host Barcelona in UEFA Champions League action on Wednesday night with their qualification hopes dangling by a thread.

Winless in their first four group stage games, Brendan Rodgers’ men must conjurer an improbable triumph against the Spanish side to retain even the slimmest hopes of progression.

Even then, a win might only enhance Celtic’s chances of extending their UEFA adventure beyond Christmas in the Europa League

After an arduous qualifying process, the Glasgow giants kicked off the competition proper with a worst-ever European loss at the hands of Wednesday’s opponents.

Barcelona ran riot with a 7-0 victory that marked the lowest ebb in over 50 years of European competition for Celtic.

The Bhoys followed that up with a rousing 3-3 home draw with Manchester City but managed only a disappointing single point from two matches against Borussia Monchengladbach.

In the face of all the evidence and such impossible odds, is there any way Celtic can keep the dream alive at Parkhead on Wednesday night?

Well, it’s funny you should ask because here are five reasons Celtic will beat Barcelona.
