4. Mesut Ozil: The Magician

There are two types of players in this world. Those that play the game well enough to make professional level money and those, like Ozil, that play the game at such a high level that there are few who can compare.

Ozil leads Arsenal in goals scored in the Champions League with four. He also leads the club with two assists. His recent surge to European dominance makes many Gunners fans ecstatic that he is showing the type of talent all expected from him when he first signed with the club. Aside from Leo Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo, few players can single-handedly take over a match with such a commanding presence.

The German Magician averages an 8.04 out of 10.0 rating according to WhoScored.com’s system. Making him the second highest-ranked player for Arsenal, only behind Chile International Alexis Sánchez who average an 8.35 match rating.

With several notable players being out injured for this titan clash, Ozil will hold the keys to the Arsenal offense. Ozil is by far the most creative and fluid player in the Gunners rotation, making it an obvious choice that he run a majority of the offense Wednesday evening.
