15. Reece Oxford
The midfielder generated a great deal of excitement when Oxford became West Ham’s youngest ever player on his debut as a 16-year old in last season’s opening game at Arsenal. Oxford put in an immense display as the Hammers beat Arsenal 2-0.
Oxford has only started twice in the Premier League since then, and he was taking off at half-time on both occasions. But that doesn’t change the fact that the now 17-year old is one of the most wanted youngsters in England. Manchester United and Manchester City are both reportedly interested in the West Ham United starlet.
The defensive midfielder, who can also play at centre-back has often been compared to former West Ham academy product Rio Ferdinand, who went on to become one of England’s finest ever centre backs. Oxford is tall and quick, and is not fazed by illustrious opposition. He has also represented England from the U16s to the U20s level.
Whether he will fulfill his enormous potential remains to be seen, but Oxford is one of the most talented youngsters in English football. Don’t be surprised to see him lining-up for one of the big clubs in a few years’ time.
