Tottenham repair guide: How Pochettino can fix each Spurs star
Tottenham don’t need to panic, but they do need to improve
Yesterday’s 2-1 defeat at Chelsea has sent a large portion of Tottenham’s Twitter following into an absolute panic. While that sort of overreaction is downright silly, Spurs definitely need to improve. The best way to achieve that goal is to pay close attention to how to improve each and every member of the squad.
You can bet that Mauricio Pochettino and his staff spend every waking moment contemplating how to do just that. Sometimes, it becomes difficult to see the forest for the trees. I’m offering my humble advice to the Tottenham coaching staff as someone who isn’t bogged down by their personal relationships with the players.
I’m also not encumbered with all of the training they watch each player undergo. That’s very valuable data, but it can occasionally obscure what happens in actual matches. After all, the way a player performs in real games is what should count the most.
Some may view this piece as presumptuous, but I can’t be bothered with those concerns. Here is exactly what the coaching staff should do with each Tottenham star to get the most out of them for the rest of the season. We are examining each player who’s made a Premier League appearance for Pochettino this year.
