Hugo Lloris

The Tottenham captain certainly isn’t responsible for the club’s struggles as of late. He may not be playing the best football of his career, but he’s still a world-class option in net for Pochettino.

As a result, there isn’t much that the coaching staff needs to do to “fix” Lloris moving forward. Any improvement with the Frenchman is going to come down to Spurs transfer guru Daniel Levy.

The only way to improve Lloris’ performance moving forward is to tie him down to a shiny new contract. He isn’t a player who thrives on uncertainty. Instead, he plays his best football when his comfort level is at its zenith.

A new contract for Lloris would free him to focus all of his energies on football. That could only pay positive dividends for the club’s performance on the pitch moving forward.
