3. Pep Guardiola

Manchester United fans don’t want to hear this, but Pep Guardiola is managing circles around Mourinho at the moment. United currently sit an astounding 10 points behind their noisy neighbors.

Both men took over at their respective clubs this summer, but Mourinho should have been more prepared for immediate success. After all, his time at Chelsea gives him significant more familiarity with the trials and tribulations of the Premier League. City might have been a slightly more talented squad when the summer began, but certainly not 10 points better.

No neutral fan can possibly believe that United are heading towards besting City anytime soon. Guardiola has the Citizens playing better and better football as the season goes on. His stylish offense and ruthless aggression is starting to take hold within his squad.

On the other hand, Mourinho’s clunky, conservative tactics have United mired in the mud. If United don’t make a change soon, they will only fall further and further behind their nouveau riche neighbors.
