5 reasons Chelsea will beat Manchester City

2. Diego Costa
After scoring just 12 league goals last season, Diego Costa has regained his confidence in front of goal. He already has ten in 12 games this season, leading Chelsea players. His game has not necessarily changed in terms of his poaching ability, as he is still the same great finisher he has been. The biggest change has been his attitude.
Costa found himself constantly in the book match after match, getting suspensions for yellow card accumulation and nasty, unnecessary challenges. When Conte was brought in, he had a zero tolerance policy with Costa’s antics. He would gladly play Michy Batshuayi if Costa could not keep his emotions in check.
The Spaniard seems like a new man this year. He is still a fiery player, but in a way that helps his team instead of hurting it. Apart from his goals, he has also grabbed four assists this season and is a real threat in the counter attacking game.
This change has been revolutionary for Chelsea, as they are clearly getting the best out of their lead striker. He will be a true test for the City defense who is having a very tough time keeping a clean sheet this season.
