Centre Back – Sergio Ramos, Real Madrid

If Pique embodies everything Barcelona and Catalonia represents, his defensive partner for Spain, Sergio Ramos, does for Madrid and the rest of the country.

Despite hailing from Sevilla, whom he played for before making the big-money move to the Santiago Bernabeu as an 18-year-old in 2005, Ramos has shown the passion and heart it takes to represent such an institution.

Very similar to Pique in many ways, the pair have not always seen eye to eye but formed a defensive partnership which saw Spain lift the World Cup and European Championship between 2010 and 2012.

He may also have similar critics to his partner, but Ramos is everything a good central defender should be, with added style.
